Which insurance plans cover hearing aids?
Insurance coverage for hearing aids varies greatly between plans and can be confusing. We would be glad to contact your insurance company and provide your plan information to you. Traditional Medicare does not cover hearing aids.
Do you have payment plans?
We offer a variety of payment plan options through Care Credit. Your financing plan options will be dependent on your application approval from Care Credit. We accept all major credit cards, cash or checks. Payment in full is required at product pick up or time of service.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes, appointments are needed for all Hillcrest services so that we can provide individualized attention for each patient.
Can I drop off my hearing aid for repair/cleaning?
Hillcrest offers drop-off services for hearing aids sold in our practice; we are unable to guarantee same day repair/pickup.
We also service hearing aids not purchased at Hillcrest. A service plan purchase and an appointment are required.
Some repairs can be completed in-office while others require being sent to the manufacturer for repair. We won’t know your specifics until we have a chance to check your hearing aid.

Is there a charge for hearing aid consultations?
Hillcrest offers no cost/no obligation hearing aid consultations. A current hearing test (within a year) is required to fully assess your specific hearing loss.
There is a charge for this hearing test. Patients can opt to have us bill insurance (subject to deductibles/co-pays) or pay out of pocket for this testing.
How much do hearing aids cost?
Our consultation appointments are the best way to learn about hearing aid pricing. Hearing aids are priced by technology level and their ability to address your specific hearing needs.
Hillcrest offers all technology levels and prices range from $2,000 (economy level) to $6,800 (top tier) per pair.
Our recommendations are provided so that you can make the best, informed decision about your hearing health. We are a medically oriented hearing practice rooted in helping people to hear better. We are not a high-pressure sales environment.
Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral for a hearing aid consultation; however, some insurances require referrals for hearing tests. If you require a hearing test, we can help you obtain the referral.

I purchased hearing aids from a different practice or retail store, why do I need to pay for services when I come to Hillcrest?
Hearing services at Hillcrest are provided by highly trained, licensed professionals. We charge patients for office time when hearing aids have been purchased elsewhere. As in other healthcare specialties, patients should expect to pay a fee for professional expertise and service.
