Please be aware that Hillcrest Hearing and Balance, a division of Southwest Ohio ENT, is not in contract with any insurance company for Durable Medical Equipment (“DME”). Hillcrest will not file any insurance claims, with the exception of Anthem Federal, Department of Labor and Energy, and Christian Brothers. The following information will assist you in filing your own claim if you believe you have a hearing aid benefit.
When checking your insurance benefit, you may be asked to provide different codes such as a Tax ID Number (TIN) or Group NPI number. Please use the Tax ID Number and Group NPI number below to help you during the inquiry and filing process. Further billing codes will be provided on your final receipt. Please note the NPI refers to ENT Services, not hearing aids. Hearing aids are considered DME and are not covered under most insurance plans.
Traditional Medicare does not have a hearing aid benefit. If Medicare is your primary insurance, you must first file a claim with Medicare to receive a denial. After the denial, your secondary insurance may process your claim automatically. If the claim does not process automatically, you may be required to submit an additional claim. You should contact your insurance for what information is required for the claim.
If you have questions, please reach out to your hearing aid provider.
